| I would
like to welcome you to the OFC club. Most of us have been
online friends now for some time and have played a lot of golf
together. Cory and I decided to put this team together as
a show of our friendship and a place for us to get together and
have fun. As most of you know, we are not a big fan of rules,
such as wearing a jacket in the room, but this will be your
choice we just want our members to be happy and consider this a
place to meet with your friends and enjoy. I have put a few basic
rules down or guidelines if that is what you want to call them which
apply to our club.
1. You will all be held
accountable for your own actions. If it comes down to it and we
receive information regarding your actions with any sort of bad publicity towards
the club this will be dealt with there
is no excuse for defacing the
club and you will be removed from
the club. We want to keep this a fun
club where we can play our Inhouse Tournament, and
enjoy good clean fun.
2. We will not be enforcing any use of
team jackets in social lobbies. You may choose to wear one if you
want to -- this decision is up to
the individual. We
do want you to wear the jacket
for the IHT so there will be no guessing as
to who you are. This can be a
problem if there
are more than one member with
the same first name.
Please report your IHT score
as soon as you finish the round
so it is not lost due to
some computer glitch. Instructions for
reporting an IHT score are on
the IHT page . Please familiarize
yourself with the IHT Rules.
3. With regard to
the IHT Tourneys, there
will be a draw made each
month and that person will be
contacted and they will pick the
course, conditions, and these will
be posted on the IHT page.
There is no way you can
win the draw again until
all players have had a turn.
once you win your name is
withdrawn from the list and will
be put back in the Hat after
all have had a chance to pick
the course, etc. We use a
Handicap system so that everyone
has a chance at winning the
months tourney and getting their
name on a Trophy in the Trophy
room.
4.
It is MANDATORY
that each member play the IHT
(4 rounds) each month. If
you have a health issue, work
issue or some problem which prevents you
from participating in the IHT please contact
us so we
will know. If you miss
playing the IHT TWO months
in a row please contact us
in case you need more time to
resolve the issues preventing you
from participating in the IHT. This
is not a lot to ask as it
is a fun club, and the IHT
is part of the reason we all
get together to play.
5.
Leave of absence is granted if
you apply for it and it is
reasonable.
6.
New members will be provided with
a Login In Name and Password
after they have been an active
member for one month.
7. It
is an unwritten rule that you
cannot be a member of more than
one club at a time. If this
happens you will have to choose between
the club you wish to be a
member of.
I am quite confident that we can look forward to many years of Links fun and heck,
maybe we'll win a game or two here and there. Good luck to you all,
